CHRAPA ENGAGED IN MASSIVE COMMUNITY IDENTIFICATION OF CASES FROM THE COMMUNITIES DUE TO VIOLANTIONS AS A RESULT OF THE ONGOING ANGLOPHONE CRISIS

GBV cases were identified and  reported by the community to protection actors and documented cases processed Baseline:0 Target: 500

Achieved activities: An estimated 600% Success rate as 3014 people were identified instead of the 500 previewed (This is because the situation in the NW is quite dire, due to the on-going crisis lots of GBV cases are recorded daily, IDPs are on the increase and the humanitarian situation is getting worse thus the necessity of this project is paramount.).

CHRAPA organized the identification of GBV, IDP and IDP host communities with its project areas using the identification forms and RIGA needs evaluation forms received from UN Women in the month of October 2019. These forms, helped to identify the victims and survivors. They were then documented and processed; the neediest ones were selected for the socio-economic empowerment component with RIGA, while about 815 underwent emergency psycho-social support and many others still undergoing regular psychosocial support to redress the trauma and torture they have undergone during this period of crisis where GBV is on the rise as compared to the time before the crisis.

Both Electronic and physical databases of all GBV survivors/victims, IDPs and IDP Host communities were created since 11/10/2019 and it is currently being updated regularly. From this data the base the following results can be obtained in relation to the cases identified.
